Individual Therapy

A Space to Process, Reflect, and Grow

Individual therapy is a space to process emotions and experiences from the past and present while also exploring worries, uncertainty, and concerns about the future. At times, life can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning how we want to move forward.

I view therapy as having two important parts. The first is having a space where you can slow down enough to reflect, process emotions, and better understand yourself and your experiences. The second is learning practical ways to work with stress, emotions, and your nervous system so that you feel more grounded and capable in your daily life.

Together, we work to increase awareness of patterns, emotional responses, unmet needs, and the choices you make in relationships and in life. With greater awareness comes the opportunity to respond differently, care for yourself more intentionally, and make decisions that are more aligned with your values and the life you want to create.

Individual therapy is also a space to be with whatever shows up, with me in your corner as you deepen your understanding of yourself and consider how you want to show up in the world.

It’s more than talk therapy

While talk therapy can bring understanding, I’ve found that deeper change also requires engaging the body and nervous system. Together, we’ll explore how stress, emotion, and memory live in the body and how awareness and compassion can help you shift those patterns.

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), somatic awareness, and narrative practices. These modalities invite curiosity, self-compassion, and embodied understanding.

You’ll learn to recognize the parts of you that overthink, strive, or shut down and explore how each one has been working to keep you safe. When these parts feel seen and supported, new pathways for calm and confidence begin to open.

What do sessions feel like?

Sessions can look different from week to week. Some days there may be tears or difficult conversations. At other times, we may laugh together, find insight, and relief. All is welcome.

Therapy with me is warm and supportive, and also honest.

Our work together is collaborative and intuitive. Some days, we may talk and reflect; on other days, we might bring awareness to your breath or the sensations in your body. We may use guided meditation, visualization, or mindfulness to help you reconnect with your center.

Clients often leave sessions feeling lighter and more grounded.

Sessions may include support around:

  • Anxiety, self-doubt, and overthinking
  • Grief, loss, and life transitions
  • Emotional overwhelm and burnout
  • Relationship patterns or attachment wounds
  • Spiritual exploration and integration

Take the journey back to yourself

As a strengths-based therapist, I believe personal development involves reconnecting with your values, your strengths, and your capacity for choice and direction.

If you feel ready to have a weekly space for yourself, with a compassionate witness and ally, to take in the good, the bad, and the messy, I’m here to support you.
